Many accredited doctorate programs are still in the process of changing their requirements for GRE, volunteer/shadowing, and more. Even with that said, it is still important to try and find some experience with volunteering in the field. On the outside, this may seem like the career path for you, however, in the experience itself is where you can truly come to understand if this career is for you. When it comes to taking the GRE, not all schools are requiring it at this moment in time due to COVID-19 complications, however keep in mind that it may be required again next year. Not everyone makes it into PT/OT school their first applying year, so having your GRE done already would be one less thing to worry about for the following year. Last, I would like to not to make sure you read through each program you are applying to carefully, because every school has different requirements. YOU DO NOT want to spend the application fee for a school you did not meet all the requirements for; schools will not look at uncompleted applications. If anyone else wants to add any tips for applying to schools, you can leave a comment to this post (check the comments) or can send it to us either via email or on our contacts page if it is unsuitable for a comment.
